THOMAS Clarke was the runaway winner of the Saturday Stableford competiton at Oake Manor Golf Club.

Thomas had a superb score of 46 points to win Division Two, three points clear of Martin Ayliffe who came second with 43 points while Christopher Dubery was third with 42 points.

Owen Irish won Division One with a score of 39 points, Matthew Pyke came second, also with 39 points, but losing on count back and Mark Tydings was third with 38 points.

Dennis Lumley was the winner of the Sunday Stableford competition, scoring 42 points while Callum Foster came second with 40 points and Calum Pinn was third with 39 points.

The Seniors Section of Oake Manor played a Stableford competition on Monday from the Ladies Red Tees for a bit of fun which made the course some 500 yards shorter than the men’s normal course length but this did not seem to reflect in the scores. John Wall won Division One with 39 points and Edward Winter came second, also with 39 points, while Peter Matthews was third with 38 points. Terry Brown was the winner of Division Two with 38 points, Ian Hockey was second, also with 38 points, while Graham Jones came third with 36 points.

The Ladies Vice Captain Mary Beakes won the Ladies Tuesday Stableford competition with 40 points, Julie Cross was second in Division One with 38 points and Jane Clist came third with 37 points. Judith Phripp won Division Two with 40 points while Ros Shepherd came second with 37 points and Jenny Swann was third with 36 points.

Paul Hadley Jnr won the Midweek Stableford Competition at Oake with 43 points while Andy Stevenson was second with 42 points and Eamon Leigh came in third with 40 points.
