THE big point to point meeting at Chipley Park, near Milverton, on Sunday had to be called off because of the cold weather.

The organisers, Tiverton Foxhounds, were optimistic yesterday that the event would go ahead.

But an unexpected hard frost overnight meant the event had to be cancelled after an inspection at 9.30a.m.
