WELLINGTON Olympian Rachel Fenwick has attended a reunion reception and dinner which was held at the Lansdowne Club in London, to mark the fifty year anniversary of the Montreal Olympics.
Fellow Olympian Princess Anne was guest of honour and Rachel was delighted to be introduced to her.
Princess Anne competed in the equestrian three-day event at the 76 Olympics. She did not win a medal but won an individual gold medal at the 1971 Burghley three-day event and won individual and team silver medals in 1975 at Luhmuhlen.
Rachel, 90, is co-founder and president of the Wellington Archers and president of Wellington Pétanque Club where she plays regularly.
Rachel competed as a member of British archery teams and as an individual. In 1978 she broke six British records, earning a place in the Guinness Book of Records and held a double round record for 10 years.
