WIVELISCOMBE will be without top scorer Jake Sharland for at least six weeks through injury.
Sharland, who has again been in superb try-scoring form this season, pulled his hamstring when looking almost certain to score a second try at home to Wadebridge on Saturday.
Former captain John Ker also suffered a leg injury and will miss the Western Counties West game at Honiton on Saturday along with Sharland.
Dan Quick may also miss the game after injuring his leg while taking a kick against Wadebridge.
“It seems we have to make three or four changes every week,” said Wiveliscombe’s joint coach Peter Stone. “John has only just come back after being sidelined with concussion.”
Wiveliscombe lost 23-17 at home to Wadebridge and Stone added: “We just did not turn up and did not play very well. Even so we could have been four scores up before Wadebridge scored themselves.
“We gave away too many penalties and they played the pitch very well once they had gone ahead.”
Honiton are one place above Wiveliscombe in the table but the West Somerset side have a game in hand.”
Wiveliscombe 2nd XV, who beat Somerton 18-10 to go second in Somerset Two South, are home to Wyvern on Saturday (2.30).
