MINEHEAD Barbarians U11s travelled to North Petherton after two weeks of training focusing on support play, communication and rucking, and everything came together to produce some really exciting rugby . Minehead having 16 players and Petherton having 22 players made sure everyone had sufficient time on the pitch was a very hard job especially when it's a nine aside game. However, Minehead adapted to changes really well with every single player giving one hundred per cent commitment; their rucking was strong enabling some good clean ball for players to pass through the hands setting up some exciting tries . North Petherton never gave up and played some good rugby which gave them three tries but they were unable to stop wave after wave of Minehead pressure. It was a fantastic team effort which produced a well deserved win. Again it was very difficult to pick out two award winners. Gladiator of the day Esmae Lewis; Barbarian of the day Degan Paige.
