WELLINGTON have a rugby derby away to Tiverton in Western Counties West on Saturday (Sep 10).

Both sides gained opening day victories over the weekend, with Wellington squeezing past Crediton 13-10 and Tiverton beating St Austell 25-19.

Wellington had plenty of possession against Crediton but could not turn pressure into points and the scoreline was much closer to what it should have been.

Wellington 2nd XV, who made a fruitless trip on Saturday to play Castle Carey who could not raise a side, are home to Bristol Harlequins in Somerset One.

Wiveliscombe, who gained a surprisingly big 25-6 away win over Stothert & Pitt with former skipper Jon Ker scoring a comeback try, are home to Tor in Somerset Premier.

With several players Wivvy’s victory at Bath was remarkable considering they are such a difficult side to beat at home.

Wiveliscombe 2nd XV are away to their Tor counterparts in Somerset Two South.
