THE final round of matches in the 2025/26 Wellington and District Ladies Skittles League took place on Monday, March 16 with champions Jolly Blues securing a 17th win of the season from their 20 outings.

They saw off LOA Spare 382-315 with Cathy Sharland leading the way with a 57. Hollie Cashmore’s 45 was a fine response.

Split Pins secured the runners-up spot ahead of Land Girls after winning a tight contest by just 11 pins against Water Babies who saw Mandy Hutchings weigh in with a 54 in defeat. Bev Jones struck 51 for the home team.

Land Girls beat bottom side Geronimo 369-335 with Kirsty Popplestone’s 55 trumping Michelle macdonald’s 47. while there were also wins for Pin and Tonics and All Blacks.

Lucy Johnson’s 49 proved crucial for Pin and Tonics in their success at Muppets who had Beth and Emily Milton both making 37, while Freda Tooze’s 46 helped the All Blacks win at Wobbly Pins who saw Leanda Thorne get 50.
