WELLINGTON Ex-Services Skittles League celebrated another brilliant season with a well-attended Presentation Night at Wellington Football Club.
The evening began with the popular Graham Jennings Triples Competition. After some good skittling, it was Scuppas who emerged victorious for the second successive year, defeating Reservists in a competitive final. Scuppas collected the £100 prize, with Reservists earning £50 as runners-up.
One of the evening’s proudest moments came during the charity presentation, where the league donated £500 to SSAFA, a charity close to the heart of WESSL due to its historic ties with the Armed Forces. The funds will support the vital work SSAFA continues to do for veterans and serving personnel.
President Andy Govier presented the trophies to this season’s winners and runners-up. Thanks go to David Bright for taking the photos, and to Dave Perry for sticking up throughout the triples competition.
The league would like to thank all who attended, as well as the teams who generously donated prizes for the raffle, which was a great success and raised £118 for the league.
