CHAMPIONS Jolly Blues survived a big scare when they scraped home by the smallest possible margin in their away game against All Blacks on Monday night.

The Blues won by one pin with Ali Campbell producing another match-winning knock of 53.

It means the Blues, who also beat All Blacks in a back match last week by 15 pins, are now only one point behind leaders Split Pins - with a crucial game in hand.

Split Pins kept in front of their rivals with a 21-pin away victory over LOA Spare with Bev Jones hitting 52.

In another back match, third-placed Land Girls won by 21 pins at home to Wobbly Pins.

Land Girls beat Muppets by 38 pins in the semi-finals last month while the Blues were 24-pin winners against Pin & Tonics.
