LAND Girls have opened up a two-point lead at the top of the Wellington Ladies Skittles League.

They made it four wins from four matches on Monday night when they beat Wobbly Pins by 82 pins at home with Tina Coles steering them to victory with a fine 59 - the top score on the night.

Although they have lost a game, Water Babies are in second spot after they won by 23 pins away to All Blacks with Liz Sanders top scoring with 52 while Hannah Baker knocked 56 for the home side.

Champions Jolly Blues won by 54 pins away to Split Happens with Cathy Sharland hitting 53.

Meanwhile, Land Girls are set to play Jolly Blues in the first round of the KO Cup at the Conservative Club (downstairs), this coming Monday, October 5. Both go into the tie unbeaten.
