WELLINGTON will look to tighten up their defensive game when they play away to Cullompton in Regional Two South West today (Sat).
Graham Dawe's outfit scored 48 points in their home game against Topsham last weekend - but still managed to lose by three points.
"We work on defence in training every week," said Dawe. "Topsham started with a bang last weekend, scoring within 30 seconds. They managed to put a lot of width to their game and had a couple of outstanding centres. It will be a difficult game at Cullompton. Hopefully, we will have a bit of a reaction after the Topsham game."
Wellington will be at near full strength for today's game as they try to end of run of two losses.
Wellington 2nd XV, who were unlucky to lose 27-22 at Tor last weekend, are home to Castle Cary, who are sixth in Counties Three Somerset South with three victories and two losses. Wellington are fifth.
Meanwhile, Wiveliscombe will be chasing their first victory of the season in Counties One Western West when they play at home to fourth-placed Tavistock.
Ed Lewsey's side have been competitive in most games this season but have had no luck. They were very unlucky to lose 27-22 at Bude last weekend.
