WELLINGTON 2nd XV stormed to a 55-10 home win over their North Petherton counterparts in Counties Three Somerset South yesterday (Sat).

Playing their best rugby of the season, Wellington led the division's second placed team 19-5 at half time before going on to score another five tries.

Ben Hayman, Charlie Higgs and Louie Justice led the spree with two tries each and there was a trademark try by Callum Warren.

Wellington stay fourth in the table while Petherton missed a chance of closing the gap on leaders Hornets who now have an eight-point lead at the top.
