WELLINGTON AFC's U10 boys marked another successful season, including winning their Plate competition, with a presentation evening in the clubhouse.

Manager John Norman said: “This season brought tears, frustration, laughter, trophies and fun — everything grassroots football is truly about.

“We’re not just developing future footballers, but young people who are positive, resilient, respectful and passionate about being great teammates. It’s been a privilege to share in this journey with every single one of them.

”He added: “As the final whistle blows on another incredible season, Wellington U10s have reached the end of their mini football journey — but the adventure is far from over.

“Next season, our players will transition into two stand-alone teams as U11s, while continuing to grow as one united group.”

He concluded with a message to the players: “You are making friends for life and building lifetime memories.

“The progress you’ve made, both on and off the pitch, is something you should all be proud of. The journey continues into U11s, and we couldn’t be more excited.”
