THE covers are on and Wellington Cricket Club will be hoping their first game of the season at the Playing Field goes ahead this evening (Fri).

Wellington Reds are due to play Taunton Deane Tornadoes in the Under 13 11 a side section in the Taunton and District Youth League.

Other games in this division include: Minehead Pirates v Bridgwater, Taunton Diamonds v Wembdon Wombats and Taunton St Andrews Griffins v Taunton Deane Dynamos.

League cricket starts big time this weekend with full programmes of matches in the West of England, Somerset , West Somerset and Taunton Youth Leagues.
