WELLINGTON'S hopes of ending their dismal run were dashed when they slumped to a 53-25 away defeat against Teignmouth in Regional Two South West yesterday (Sat).

Wellington trailed 29-20 at half time and slipped further behind before Ollie Price scored a try to give the visitors some hope.

But the Devon side turned the screw to finish as comfortable winners to leave Wellington down in eighth spot, with Teignmouth one place below them.

It was not a good day either for Wiveliscombe who went down 47-25 away to Pirates Amateurs in Counties One Western West.
