POLICE have appealed for information after an arson attack on a farm near Wiveliscombe caused £100,000 of damage.
A barn containing 20 tonnes of straw bales in a field off Taunton Road was set alight between midnight and 12.15 am on Sunday, March 17.
Fire crews from stations in Wiveliscombe, Wellington, Williton, and Bampton, were mobilised to tackle the incident and found the barn ‘well alight’ by the time they arrived.
The firefighters used rakes and hoses to put out the blaze.

“The damage to the barn and contents is estimated at around £100,000.
“If you saw anybody acting suspiciously in this area around the time, or have information on who may be responsible, please call 101 and give the reference number 5224068762.”
