SUPER slimmer Megan Dadd, from Wellington, has appeared on television show Blind Date.

Megan, 24, a former Uffculme School student, has lost nearly four stone since 2016.

She realised she had to do something about her weight after it ‘spiralled out of control’ while living abroad.

She said: “I started my journey in 2016 where I tried lots of plans and fad diets. I was the biggest I have ever been and didn’t realise this until I was reaching for a size 22/24.

“My mum was following the Weight Watchers plan and said I should join her as a ‘bring a friend’ offer was going.

Since then Megan has lost 52lb and she added: “I was so much more confident and decided to take the plunge and apply to appear on Blind Date.

“My episode recently aired on television – the old me would never have had the confidence to apply, let alone appear on television.”

Megan said that despite not being picked for a date on the show, which aired on Channel 5 before Christmas, it was a fantastic experience.

“It helped boost my confidence as well as made me realise I can be one of those people on the TV who I have always wished I was,” she added.

“I loved every moment from the interviews right up to the moment I was there, and it was a wrap! It made me realise that anything can happen to anyone if they believe in themselves and that is so important.

“I was encouraged by my family to apply, never dreaming I would get through. I hadn’t much luck in past dating or relationship experience. Since then I have found love locally, and I am very very happy with my love life as well as my lifestyle and work.

“I have since become a Weight Watchers wellness coach and have completed a health and nutrition course.” Megan now runs workshops in Wellington, Wiveliscombe, Taunton, Watchet and Cullompton.
