A TEACHER who tragically lost his daughter to illness last year has been supported by pupils to run a series of 5km runs in aid of the charity that supported her.

Harry Foster, year-six teacher at St John’s C of E Primary School, in Wellington, has taken on the challenge to complete the run every day in May to raise funds for the charity, 2Wish

Harry, his wife Rebecca, and his family have been supported by the charity's help after suddenly losing daughter Olivia last year.

Harry and Rebecca said: "This charity works so hard, supporting families who lose a child, and they mean a lot to us. 2Wish has been a lifeline and we are extremely grateful for the kind, caring and professional support they have given us.

“We have made it our mission to spread awareness of 2Wish so that other bereaved parents can receive the help that 2Wish provides.”

The staff at St John's school heard about the challenge Harry was embarking on, and many colleagues wanted to join in. Harry and Rebecca were joined by several staff and children who also ran the 5km run after school.
