A POPULAR restaurant in Wellington, which closed more than four years ago, is to reopen next week.
Flavours of the Mediterranean will be serving customers in High Street as from next Thursday evening, November 16 (6 pm to 9 pm).
Owner Herman Topuzoglu, 63, who will again be running the restaurant, said: “I have a vast knowledge of Mediterranean and European food.
“I am very much looking forward to reopening the restaurant and meeting up again with many of my former customers.
“I have been working as head chef at pub restaurants in Somerset but it is not like being in charge of your own place.”
Herman, who has dual Turkish and UK nationality and has lived in this country for 40 years, added: “I plan to open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays for the time being. But I will open on other days for group bookings.
“This is an exciting time for me because I believe there is a need for such a restaurant as the town has got so much bigger in recent years.
“The restaurant will definitely be up and running next Thursday. Customers should contact 01823 662006 for reservations.”
