A HIGH Street charity shop is set to reopen after a sudden closure earlier this month.
The RSPCA South West Somerset charity shop in Wellington’s town centre closed suddenly due to “essential and unexpected shop maintenance”, according to a sign in its window.
Branch manager Natalie Heed has said that the closure was due to staff changeovers and to give the shop a refresh. The team also undertook some ceiling maintenance work.
RSPCA South West Somerset is an independent charity, working under the umbrella of the national animal welfare charity RSPCA, and is reliant on funding from the High Street shop. As a result, Natalie says she hopes they are back up and running soon.
The shop will be rehiring over the next fortnight, to reopen in the coming months.
