TRAFFIC between Taunton and Wellington is reportedly congested after an three car collision took place on the A38 Wellington New Road.

Heavy delays can be expected between the two towns, particularly in the direction from Taunton to Wellington.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “"We were called by the ambulance service at 11am today (May 28) after a three-vehicle collision on the A38 Wellington New Road in Taunton.

“Officers attended to assist with traffic management while the vehicles were recovered. They left at 2.16pm."
