NEW permanent headteacher Jonathan Moise-Souch has started to implement a new vision for Langford Budville Primary School.

Mr Moise-Souch’s vision and forward-thinking leadership is set to guide the village school to new heights.

He is being supported by a newly-assembled, highly-skilled teaching team who are passionate about crafting an enriched learning experience and developing Langford Budville into a leading school in the area.

The school has embraced a new Christian vision ‘Roots to Grow, Wings to Fly’, symbolising its commitment to nurturing every child’s potential while empowering them with the confidence to explore, learn, and achieve.

Executive head Naomi Philp, who runs the Moorland Foundation which works with the Church of England school, said: “We are initiating engaging community events to enhance synergy between the church, school, parish, and village hall members, promoting unity and shared values.

“We look forward to welcoming the community to join us.

“Our fortified connection with the Moorland Federation is opening new doors for enriched collaborative experiences for our pupils and staff.”

The federation was formed in September, 2017, to strengthen existing links between schools in the Exmoor area in order to raise standards, provide greater opportunities for children and staff, and ensure future sustainability.

Mrs Philp said: “Our engaging curriculum has been meticulously designed to offer a broad, balanced, and enriching learning experience with a special emphasis on the love of outdoor learning.

“The outdoor learning approach will enable all our pupils to connect with nature, develop essential life skills, and appreciate the beauty of the world around them.

“We have developed a new outdoor Early Years Foundation Stage area, featuring raised beds, a water wall, mud kitchen, and a sunken sand pit, creating a stimulating environment which is enriching the learning landscape for our budding minds.”

She said the primary school was committed to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment, ensuring every child had access to extraordinary, encompassing, and uplifting educational experiences, and sculpting futures through the transformative essence of learning.

“We warmly invite parents, students, and community members to witness and be part of this exciting journey and transformation,” said Mrs Philp.

“Let us come together to create a school that is a beacon of learning, community spirit, and holistic development.”
