MORE than 100 families and businesses on the Blackdown Hills who have gone all day without power on Monday (July 27) were facing the prospect of not having their electricity fully restored until midnight.
A power cut hit 132 properties in Bishopswood and its surrounding communities shortly before 9.30 am.
National Grid said it was the result of a fault on its above ground high voltage lines in the area.
A spokesperson said: “Our engineers are currently working on the fault.
“Power may go on and off while we work hard to sort this out.
“We are getting this sorted as a priority.”
However, the spokesperson said the estimated time for repairs to be completed was not until 12 midnight.
