A COMMUNITY engagement co-ordinator has been recruited by Wellington charity Reminiscence Learning to highlight where dementia-based work may be needed in the town.

Claire Care will be based in the town council’s new Kings Arms community hub once it opens at the end of the month.

The appointment follows the dementia charity being awarded nearly £280,000 for a project hoping to make Wellington the Westcountry’s first ‘dementia inclusive community’.

Ms Care will be in the community hub on Thursdays from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm and can signpost people to the charity’s services to help individuals with their ‘dementia journey’.

More information about support and sessions available from the charity can be obtained by calling 01823 668676 or emailing [email protected].
