Wiveliscombe Town Band celebrated its first full concert of the year with a performance at St Peter's Church in Huish Champflower last Saturday (May 16), in aid of the church.
There were 28 band members present, an increase in numbers since it performed at the church last year, and its largest number so far, with performers ranging in age from 11 to 83.
The band, which has been going since 1896, rehearses every Monday in the Silver Street Centre, and a training band is due to start in September.
The brass band is led by Charlotte Stus, the director of music, and instruments range from the smallest cornet to the largest tubas. Players of all ages and skills are welcome.
