FOUR members of Rockwell Green Shortmat Bowls Club travelled to Hemyock to take part in their annual charity event in aid of the Blackdown Practice.

The event attracted 10 teams from Somerset and& Devon, including some good sides from the Devon League.

The Green foursome had mixed fortunes, winning their first match, losing the second and winning the 3rd (to put them back in contention ) but lost the fourth rather heavily.

The teams were split into two groups of five with the top of each group going into the final. The Green finished third in their group.

The four who represented the Green were Graham Hill, Bill Kingdom, Reg Deem & Mike Russell.

While not doing as well as hoped a enjoyable day was had and it was all in a good cause, with Rockwell hoping for better luck next year.
