WELLINGTON Under18s U18s picked up their second successive away point from a goalless draw at neighbours Bishops Lydeard in South Division of the Western Counties Floodlit Youth Football League.

The first half was a fairly even affair with neither side able to create any goalscoring chances and the pitch certainly playing its part. The game was very stop-start due to niggly late challenges all over the pitch.

After half-time, Wellington were the brighter side but skipper Elijah received a red card just after the hour mark. Even down to ten men, the Tangerines kept pushing and they were awarded a penalty when Marley was brought down inside the area. Ollie A stepped up but the keeper guessed right and kept out the penalty.

A flurry of long-distance shots and a couple set pieces nearly found the winner with Ollie H going closest for Wellington from a direct free kick in the closing minutes.
