IT was the wettest of wet days for Wellington CC last Saturday when not one ball was bowled across the three games that were schedule, writes David Derrick.

The visit of Bridgwater 2nd XI in the Somerset Division of the West of England Premier League to play the 1st XI, the 2nd XI's journey to Winscombe in Division One of the Somerset League and the never-undertaken travel to Huntspill and District 2nd XI in Division Seven South of the Somerset League saw cancellations recorded for all teams.

Allocations of six, twelve and twelve points were recorded as a result.

As a result positions of third, ninth and third are maintained.Better weather is hoped for on Saturday 13th June as the 1st XI makes the long trip to Frome, the 2nd XI hosts leaders Long Sutton and the 3rd XI receives Taunton St Andrews 4th XI.
