WELLINGTON will be looking to step up the pressure at the top of the Somerset Division in the West of England Premier Cricket League when they play away to fifth-placed Temple Cloud on Saturday, July 11.

Wellington are up to third in the table after their splendid seven-wicket home win over leaders Ilminster last weekend.

They are now only 24 points behind the South Somerset side while second-placed Yeovil are only seven points adrift of the leaders.

Temple Cloud are also on a good run, having won their last three league games. However, they will be looking to gain revenge for a nine-wicket loss at Wellington in early May when they were bowled out for 67, Toby Stirzaker snapping up 5-19 in a devastating ten-over spell.

Fixtures: Ilminster v Bridgwater 2nd XI, North Perrott v Chard, Taunton v Wembdon, Temple Cloud v Wellington, Yeovil v Frome.

Wellington 2nd XI play at home to their Ilminster counterparts hoping to improve on their poor start to the season, having won one of ten matches. They are 31 points adrift at the bottom of the table.

Fixtures: Ilminster v Bridgwater 2nd XI, North Perrott v Chard, Taunton v Wembdon, Temple Cloud v Wellington, Yeovil v Frome.

Wellington 3rd XI, now up to third in Division Seven South after their four-run win over Wembdon 5th XI, play away to Bishops Hull 2nd XI.

Meanwhile, Wellington's first team face their biggest match since last season's Baker Cup final when they play Swindon in the WEPL Four Regions T20 Cup final at home on Sunday, July 19 (2p.m.).

Wellington go into the game with plenty of confidence after pulling off a double at Trowbridge in the competition, beating the home side and Bishopswood on the same day.
