WELLINGTON face their fifth match in a fortnight when they play at home to Torpoint Athletic in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western Football League tomorrow (Sat, 3p.m.).

Wellington have lost all 14 of their league games this season, but there have been signs of improvement in recent matches particularly at Tavistock in mid-week where they played very well in the first half. However they have not scored in their last three fixtures.

They also had to play out the last 20 minutes at Tavistock with only ten men after Ben Evett received two yellows.

Their 6-0 defeat leaves them 11 points adrift at the bottom of the table.

Top match of the day is at Liskeard where the home side play Bridgwater United who have opened up a five-point lead after beating title-rivals Clevedon Town 1-0 at home earlier this week.

Fixtures: Bovey Tracey v Brislington, Brixham v Portishead Town, Liskeard Athletic v Bridgwater United, Saltash United v Clevedon Town, Shepton Mallet v Newquay, Sidmouth Town v Street, Tavistock Association v St Blazey, Wellington v Torpoint Athletic, Wells City v Buckland Athletic.

Wellington Reserves play at Colyton in the Premier Division of the Devon and Exeter League while Wellington A are away to Wembdon Reserves in Division One of the Taunton Saturday League.

On Sunday, Wellington Wildcats play away to Odd Down in the first division of the Somerset Women’s League. Both Odd Down and Wellington have the same number of points from their opening four matches.
