WELLINGTON will be chasing their second double of the season when they play Bridport at home in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League tomorrow (Saturday 3pm).

Bridport are rock-bottom of the division, having won only one of their 16 matches this season. They are four points adrift at the bottom of the table and are already looking in a dire situation.

Wellington won 4-0 at Bridport in early September with goals coming from Glen Wright, Jake Quick, Jordan Casey and Nathan Byrne.

Tim Legg’s side were handily placed in mid-table at the time but have slipped to 15th, although they have games in hand on all teams around them.

He was also pleased with the 2-1 away win over Milbrook in the FA Vase last Saturday, both their goals coming in the second half.

He said: "There have been a few games this season we have played similar but have not got the result we wanted due to something lacking in the second half. This time around there was a positive response at half time and we continued to dominate the game in the second half.

"It was full credit to the players for showing the right mentality to get to the next stage of the Vase."

Wellington Reserves, whose game at home to Halwill last weekend was called off because their opponents could not raise a side, are away to Hatherleigh in Division One of the Devon and Exeter League tomorrow.

The Reserves, who have played only seven league games this season, are lying sixth while their rivals are 12th.
