WELLINGTON Town’s football season concluded in late April, with the team finishing 12th in a highly competitive Under 15 section of the HO Soccer Taunton & District Youth League which consisted of 16 sides.

With three wins, three draws and nine defeats, there were plenty of encouraging moments throughout the season, with the squad continuing to develop and showing clear signs of progress against strong opposition across the division.

Town opened their season back in September with a 2-2 draw away at Bridgwater Wolves before recording a memorable 3-1 home victory over Watchet Town shortly afterwards. Although results became difficult against several of the division’s strongest sides, the squad continued to show plenty of improvement as the season progressed.

There were several notable performances during the 2025/2026 campaign, including an entertaining 3-3 draw away at Middlezoy Rovers Harriers and an impressive 4-2 victory at North Curry in December, one of the team’s standout results of the season.

Narrow defeats against Huish Tigers and Nether Stowey in early March demonstrated just how competitive many of the fixtures were. Town, always full of fight and tenacity, ended their season positively with a 2-2 draw away at Staplegrove Spartans before finishing with an excellent 3-2 home win over Wembdon Dragons - a result that gives the squad plenty to build on ahead of next season.

The club would also like to thank all of the team’s sponsors for their fantastic support throughout their campaign. Thank you to Gutter Doctor for sponsoring the home kit, Joe Cox Golfing for sponsoring the away kit, Hair by Alderman for providing match ball sponsorship, and Full Fusion HR for supplying the team jackets. Their continued support plays an important role in helping youth football thrive within the Wellington community.
