WELLINGTON, 90-10 home winners over Wessex over the weekend, can expect a much tougher game at Bude in the Cornwall and Devon League on Saturday, warns coach Allyn Chetland.

“They beat us twice last season so we will have to be on top of our game,” he said. “It is always a difficult game at Bude. We have to go there with the right attitude. The boys played some pretty good stuff against Wessex. We put into practice what we do in training.”

Wellington, who have now won their last eight matches, remain third in the table, three points adrift of leaders Penryn and one point behind second placed Saltash.

No 8 Chris Kitto is ruled out with a leg injury but Wellington hope former skipper Micky Norman will have recovered from a groin strain.

Wiveliscombe are without a match in Somerset Premier and look like losing top spot to second-placed Gordano who are only three points behind and play at home to Bridgwater & Albion who are struggling at the bottom of the table.

Wellington 2nd XV will be back in action after an enforced break when they play at home to Old Bristolians in Somerset One while Wiveliscombe 2nd XV are home to 100 per cent leaders Castle Cary in Somerset Two South.
