JOLLY Blues have retained their title in the Wellington Ladies Skittles League,

Although they still have one more game to play, they made sure of finishing top after beating Wobbly Pins by 46 pins at home on Monday night with Katie Jordan and Shellie Jarman both hitting 49s for the champions.

Their success, with only two losses from 19 league games, comes only a fortnight after they lost to Land Girls by 25 pins in the final of the KO Cup.

Split Pins, in second place, also won on Monday night, beating Muppets by eight pins with Nicky Bright top scoring with 50 but it was not enough to keep them in the hunt for the title.

Land Girls trail Split Pins by three points after they lost by three pins away to Wanderers.
