WELLINGTON’S rugby match went ahead today (Saturday) along with Wiveliscombe’s home game against Topsham.

Wellington maintained their bright start to the rugby season with a 39-31 away win over Teignmouth in Regional Two Tribute South West this afternoon (Sat), having beaten Bridgwater & Albion in their opening game last weekend.

The last of the matches in the West Somerset Cricket League were also played, but it’s a no-go for all football.

The Football Association has postponed all fixtures for this weekend, as a mark of respect following the death of the Queen.

It means Wellington’s Toolstation League game at Shepton Mallet today (Saturday) has been called off. All games in the Taunton Saturday, Somerset Sunday and Taunton Youth Leagues have also been postponed.
