WELLINGTON ended a run of five successive defeats with a 31-17 away win over Newton Abbot in Regional Two South West today (Sat).
It meant they stay seventh in a very competitive division where only four points separate the top five sides.
Meanwhile Wiveliscombe finally won their first match of the season when they beat Bideford 21-17 at home although remaining bottom of Counties One Western West.
After some near misses, Wiveliscombe's head coach Ed Lewsey will have been delighted with the result.
