WELLINGTON play two matches in the next five days - including a quarter-final tie in the Somerset Premier Cup.

Having drawn their last two games in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League, Wellington play at home tomorrow against Shepton Mallet who are lying sixth and have lost only twice this season.

Shepton will be chasing the season's double over their rivals, having beaten Wellington 2-0 at home on the first day of August last year. A few days earlier Wellington had drawn away against Helston, who are leading the championship race. That was a display which augured well for the season - but it has not worked out that way and Wellington find themselves second from bottom.

Southern League Larkhall Athletic are home to Wellington next Wednesday in the last eight of the Premier Cup. It is one of two quarter-final ties being played in the competition next Wednesday, the other being Clevedon Town and Brislington.

Larkhall play in Divison One South of the Southern League, having a record of 8 wins, 5 draws and 8 losses.

Meanwhile Wellington Reserves, looking to extend their winning run to five matches, play away to Bow Amateur Athletic who are second from bottom in the first division of the Devon and Exeter League.

Wellington A, beaten for only the second time in Division One of the Taunton Saturday League last weekend, are away to sixth paced Middlezoy Rovers Athletic. Wellington are now only two points clear of second-placed Bridgwater Wolves who have a game in hand.

Wellington Reds, the footballing section of the local cricket club, are away to Watchet Town Reserves who have lost ten of their 15 matches tin Division Two his season.

Wellington Ladies have a tough home game against Yeovil Town Women's Development who top Division Two South in the Somerset Women's League, having lost only one of their 15 matches.
