WELLINGTON play their last away match of the season when they meet Wembdon in the Somerset Division of the West of England Premier Cricket League on Saturday, August 22.

Wellington will be looking to avenge a ten-run defeat at home in June when Wellington were bowled out for 193 when chasing Wembdon’s 203 all out.

Wellington, with only two remaining games, go into the match in the runners-up spot while Wembdon are lying in sixth place.

Wellington beat Frome by 94 runs at home last weekend while Wembdon went down to a seven-wicket home defeat against Bridgwater 2nd XI.

One of the main matches in the division is the South Somerset derby between Chard, who are seventh, and Ilminster who are 36 points clear at the top and certain of becoming champions.

Fixtures: Bridgwater 2nd XI v Temple Cloud, Chard v Ilminster, Frome v Taunton, Wembdon v Wellington, Yeovil v North Perrott.

Wellington 2nd XI, who are bottom and face relegation from Division One of the Somerset League, play fourth-placed Broadway & Horton at the Lloyd and Whyte Cricket Ground on Saturday, August 22 (1p.m.), before a visit to Wells and Horrington to wrap up their season the following weekend.

Wellington 3rd XI, now up to third in Division Seven South of the Somerset League, play mid-table Mass 2nd XI at Sampford Arundel on Saturday, August 22 (1.30) before they close out their season away to leaders Trull 2nd XI the following weekend.
