Wellington AFC are inviting applications for the position of first‑team manager. Candidates should have strong coaching experience (UEFA B preferred but not essential) and can apply with a full CV to [email protected].

Chairman Mike Hall paid tribute to outgoing manager Richard Cherry, who has stepped down for personal reasons. Appointed three years ago, Cherry guided Wellington to 15th place last season, securing their Jewson Western League Premier Division status for 2026–27.

Mike said the club were “so sorry to lose Richard” and praised his commitment, coaching ability and impact on developing younger players. He added that Cherry would “always be assured of a warm welcome”.

Richard described managing the team as “a privilege”, highlighting memorable moments in the FA Cup and the final‑day win over league leaders Torpoint Athletic. He thanked the chairman, staff and players for their support and wished the club continued success.
